Why Estemerwalt? - Estemerwalt Log Homes

Why Estemerwalt?

What sets us apart from other log home companies? In addition to our knowledgeable personnel, friendly service, and vast product line, we have a full-service sawmill. Every log, every piece of siding, every timber, every piece of tongue and groove, and nearly every wood surface you will see in your new home was sawn, dried and manufactured right here. This translates into a log home package that is among the most complete in the industry and a greater value for our customers than can be found from any other log home company.

Log Home Package

Estemerwalt Log Homes offers one of the most comprehensive log home packages in the industry. Our home packages consist of everything needed to create the dried-in-shell of the structure (although less inclusive packages can be created to suit your individual needs). Our packages include log walls, first and second floor systems, tongue and groove paneling for ceilings and walls, interior framed walls, your choice of premium windows, Therma Tru doors, complete roof system and decking, caulking and more. You will never be left wondering whether an integral part of your new home is included or not.

We offer Eastern White Pine for our homes, which is one of the most durable and versatile species in the world. Naturally resistant to decay, UV damage and insects, it also offers minimal shrinkage and settling compared with other log species.

Our log walls are graded and inspected according to Timber Products Inspections Inc. (TPI) standards to ensure the finest quality and structural integrity.

Styles, Profiles, and Sizes

Here at Estemerwalt we make a wide variety of logs in different profiles and sizes.

Milled D-Logs: so named because their shape is flat on the inside wall and rounded on the exterior wall. We offer 6×8, 8×6, 8×8 and 10×10 D logs with a double tongue and groove sealing system.

Round Logs: Another thing that sets us apart from other manufacturers in the northeast is that we are able to manufacture 8-inch, 10-inch and 12-inch diameter round logs with a double tongue and groove sealing system. Usually only found from western manufacturers, these large diameter logs not only offer a more dramatic appearance, but they can increase the energy efficiency of your home.

Half Log Profiles: For a traditional stick-framed house, outbuildings, garages or horse stables, profiled siding is available to match every log style we manufacture.

Looking for something different? Give us a call to discuss the exact profile you have in mind. We are developing new profiles and styles all the time. There’s a good chance we may be able to manufacture what you are looking for.
